About the Program

The CTBC Summer Internship is a comprehensive career-bridging program. During the internship, you will get first-hand experience in the everyday operations of an international financial company, expand your professional working knowledge, and participate in cultural activities – all while enjoying the same benefits as our employees.

This year, we have also opened the program to international Southeast Asian (iSEA) applicants. We embrace diversity in every regard, so no matter your nationality or education, we want to see your application.

At the end of the program, you’ll be one step ahead of your peers and ready to jump into your career. Interns also have priority placement for CTBC internships taking place during the school year as well as the job offer.

Qualification

  2. GPA 3.0 and above; or average grade of 75/100 and above
  3. TOCFL level 3/HSK level 5 or equivalent, TOEIC 700 and above

Application

We welcome applications from students in their third year of college or above.
Yes. As long as you’re able to be in Taiwan for the program from July to August, you can apply.
The duration of the summer internship is only few weeks, so every day of it is important and we urge you to plan your calendar in advance and be here on orientation day. If your circumstances mean that’s not possible, let us know when you apply and we’ll do our best to make it work.
You can instead attach existing relevant foreign language proficiency test scores(There’s no limit to the type of test, as long as the results are compared to the same level) or other information and explanations(e.g.: School language course’s grades) that can prove your foreign language proficiency. If you haven't obtained the relevant results or proof yet, you are welcome to submit your resume first, and then provide further information at a later date.

Selection

As long as the resume is sent before the deadline, after a written review, we expect to arrange an interview by phone or email in April, so remember to pay attention to the phone or mailbox notification, don't miss the opportunity to meet us! As for whether or not to enroll, you will be notified at the latest before the end of May. Please refer to the selection schedule for the detailed time.

Internship

Of course! In addition to the monthly salary, you will also enjoy labor insurance, health insurance, and the company's 6% labor reimbursement. Furthermore, you will also enjoy the company's five-star welfare plan (e.g:free lunch), don’t miss out on the opportunity!
Summer interns are just like everyone else working at CTBC, the program runs from 7/9 to 8/16! The working hours are Monday to Friday from 08:50 am to 05:30 pm, and from 12:00 pm to 01:00 pm, you could enjoy lunch with your friends and colleagues at CTBC Financial Park or employee cafeteria.
The internship locations are mainly concentrated in the Greater Taipei area, more specifically, at the CTBC Financial Park in Nangang District.
You can prioritize your choices of areas you want to intern on the application form. We will arrange the interview in accordance with your preference, and provide you the offer after passing interview process. The work content will vary from field to field. In addition to understanding the department's business operations and assisting daily work, you will also have the opportunity to assist in routine report, data collation and documentation, and even have the opportunity to participate in small project planning. In addition, the company will also arrange variety of workshops to make your internship experience rich and fun!

iSEA Applicants

You can attach a transcript of a Chinese-language learning course attesting to your proficiency or any other documentation of your Chinese-language ability. If you don’t have any such proof yet, you’re welcome to submit your resume first and provide the documentation at a later date.
Yes. As long as you perform well during the internship, you will have the opportunity to join the semester internships, receive the entry to our various job opportunities or get the full-time job offer!
It is recommended that you can apply via the foreign student work permit application website and apply to the school one month before the internship. It will take at least 7 working days for the issuance of the work permit. After the work permit is issued, please scan it and email it to ba.isea@ctbcbank.com
